Eighteen projects and personalities have made it to the finals of the OKD Foundation Awards
OSTRAVA (30 October 2010) – Experts from the non-profit sector and managers of the companies supporting the Foundation selected 18 projects and personalities to the finals of the second year OKD Foundation Awards. The six winners in the different categories of the competition, which seeks to promote public-benefit activities, will be declared by the Foundation on Wednesday, 3 November, at a gala evening to be held in the compressor room of the Mining Museum. A ramp to facilitate wheelchair bound person’s way to Ostrava school
OSTRAVA (6 October 2010) – A new ramp designed for wheelchair bound persons will facilitate the life of handicapped pupils of the Special Elementary School of Diacony of the Evangelical Church of Czech Brethren in Ostrava. In particular, it will help their parents and teachers who had to climb the stairs carrying the children in their arms at school. The Civil Association working at the Elementary School has built a completely new ramp at CZK 313,000, which will facilitate all of them their way in and out.
