About the Programme

The nonprofit-making sector represents an indispensable part of society and the region. Nonprofit-making organisations often struggle with complicated processes for sourcing funds to cover their operating costs. One option for these organisations to obtain such financial support is European Union funding. To obtain EU funds, however, it is necessary to prepare a high-quality and correct Application which should be successful in the approval process. The preparation of this requires a lot of experience, professional skills and, last but not least, sufficient funds. Nonprofit-making organisations do not usually have such advantages available.    

The OKD Foundation has thus prepared a unique programme in the Czech Republic which offers support to nonprofit-making organisations seeking to gain financial resources from the EU Structural Funds. The Projects which apply for grants from these EU funds may also receive financial support from the OKD Foundation – selected Projects of nonprofit-making organisations may obtain funds from the OKD Foundation to ensure that their Projects are professionally developed in order to maximize the Applicant’s chances of success in gaining an EU grant. Thanks to the funds granted by the OKD Foundation, nonprofit-making organisations may take advantage of assistance from an expert team in preparing administrative inputs for their Application. The team's assistance may also be used in preparing analyses and studies necessary to document Project feasibility, a condition for the successful adoption of a Project.
